A 17 year old North Ridgeville youth known as Minor Butcher devised an automatic transmitter cut-off for wireless telegraphy stations. Norwalk becomes the terminal station for two Lake Shore freight trains between Cleveland and Toledo on the Southern division. The trains depart about 7:00 am for Cleveland and Toledo and return to Norwalk late in the afternoon. Crews will reside in Norwalk.

The Citizens' Gas and Electric Company reveals a monster meter four feet by four feet by 86 inches deep with a 4 inch gas opening. Brown-Gochran Co will use it to prove gas engines up to 150 horsepower, measuring up to 3 000 cubic feet per hour. The giant meter dwarfs ordinary meters, likened to an elephant beside a pony.
Washington DC Ohio Republican Association expresses sorrow over the death of John Reardon of Wigma Ohio. He is praised as one of the oldest and most esteemed members a devoted patriot who served in the country’s peril. Condolences are extended to his family and copies to the deceased’s family and the press of Ohio.

Miss Gertruda Bruce is known locally as a school alumna and popular figure. The Elyria Iron and Steel Company has acquired land from EK Massey south of the works for one dollar.
Burrows of this place has been appointed general baggage agent of the L S and M& Ry, succeeding the late JL Freeman. Burrows has long served as assistant baggage agent and will assume duties on April 1 at Cleveland offices.
