John Knox drilled a new oil field on the Boros farm six miles north of Tiffin which is believed to yield at least seventy five barrels of oil per day. The district draws leasers from Lorain county with local capital represented. A broad notice notes new territory and ongoing activity nearby.

Lorain Democrat reports a complex avon saloon clash fueling a local option election next Wednesday. German residents oppose saloons amid slot machine concerns, with temperance leaders led by Judge Webber and Mayor Reefy rallying villagers after a January brawl left John Leonard near death.
Mr. Farnam a former county resident traveled from Denver to Monese Indiana then reached Cleveland on March 16 1908 on foot seeking health. He weighed under 96 pounds at departure in June 1901 and 148 pounds upon arrival in Monese showing a remarkable restoration through walking despite limited means. He refused transport offers and stayed faithful to the road. He still has many friends near Rafton who will read of his journey with interest.

Mr and Mrs A Lincoln, Mr and Mrs G Enders and Nina Root attended a USA lecture in Oberlin Friday. Mrs Hoe Davis visits her parents in Wood County. Mr and Mrs James Rodell of Wellington were guests of Mr and Mrs Gaines Jr on Sunday.
Mrs Geo of Ely visited Miss G Padley in Ka Wir. at Martin. Rav Chapman's Christian Zeal talk followed a well attended Sunday school. Ladies Aid to be entertained by Mrs AL Martin on April 2. Mr and Mrs Fred Usher moved to Brunswick. neighbors surprised them at Geo Daniels home with games music and refreshments. Mr N Birk presented a penantful picture to honor the occasion.
