Sarah Lillian Rocker petitions common pleas court for divorce from William Henry Rocker. Married Monroe Michigan October 15 1904. One child Roy Azel Rocker, twenty months. Also claims habitual drunkenness and that she placed child in Oberlin Children's Home. seeks custody and alimony.
Christian Girl general manager of The Perfection Spring company Cleveland visited Elyria yesterday calling on friends. The company claims its automobile springs are the most scientific in principle and pattern on the market. Cars of Commodore Huntington and Hugh Wick in Elyria are equipped with Perfection Springs, as will the new car of A J Garford now building.

Frank Mead was found guilty by a Lorain County jury on the charge of assault to rape against Mary Wongo, an 18 year old Hungarian girl. He was released on bond of 3090 dollars pending a motion for a new trial. The verdict followed a trial that ended after the jury deliberated from the afternoon.
Dispute over platting of the Mendelson addition on the West Side to be settled amicably by S Mendelson J E Boynton and the Braman heirs. Boynton shifted from opposition after earlier lawsuits, as parties await Mendelson's return from Kentucky and plan council and service board review to revise the old plat. Braman tract lies north of Mendelson. tracts do not align with streets requiring mutual adjustments.
Dorothy Dodd and Maud Barnes of Lorain pleaded guilty before Judge Washburn to keeping disreputable resorts. They were fined 206 and 240 dollars respectively and given thirty days workhouse sentences, suspended on condition they stay out of the county. Dodd had opened a newly furnished resort recently and sent engraved invitations to prominent city men, stirring talk in Lorain.
Rev J P Sala of the local Church of Christ will remain in Elyria beyond June 1 at his current salary, turning down a 50 percent raise from another city.
