Toledo Telephony Firm Elects Officers and Directors

The Toledo Times reports the first annual election of officers and directors for the Toledo Telephone Company held Tuesday. Officers named include President Lt. Barber, Vice President M. V. Brownhelm German church group hosts pleasant town hall event

Brownhelm the little folks of the German church at Brownhelm Station assisted by a few others gave a very pleasant entertainment at the town hall last Saturday evening. Mrs Gessner of North Amherst is spending a few days in town. Miss Mas Peabody of Henrietta is visiting her sister Mrs Fred Brandon. Mr and Mrs D Gilmore of Milan visited friends and relatives in town last week. Miss Effie Washburn of Rugby spent a few days with Mr and Mrs Samuel Bacon. Relatives of Mr and Mrs Arthur Shattuck surprised them on their tenth wedding anniversary with a bountiful supper and well wishes.

Escape attempt ends with Jordan back in Toledo Hospital

Robert B H Jordan of Columbia, judged insane by Judge Hinman, broke from Sheriff Warden in the county jail and fled through an open door and window. He was recaptured and returned to confinement before being placed in Toledo Hospital for examination.
