City Council Approves Bonds for Water Works and Streets
The council met Tuesday evening to pass ordinances funding sewers, water works extensions, and a lake station settling basin. Paroled? Baker case questioned after juvenile assault conviction
County clerk certified journal entries in the Baker case, now in prison for attacking 14 year old Louie Reger. Baker, once a West Side drug store owner and Second Ward councilman, was found guilty and sentenced to six years. The petition for his release signed by city officials will go to the Board of Pardons.
