Delegates at a county convention backed Otto Haserodt for the auditor's office amid speeches praising his fitness and experience. The commission announced the decision after deliberation, noting Haserodt's entitlement to the position and his support across the county.

The Elyria Bottling Works changes ownership with Loui Sehmeer disposing of most assets to form a new company named NOR Vaan. The new firm will operate two plants in Lori and Cyewetland, expanding stock to fund a larger operation and broader distribution.
