Burned engineer injured at Cleveland Southwestern Power House
A. Crawford, an engineer at the Cleveland Southwestern power house, was badly burned Monday night when he touched a live wire. His face and hands suffered painful injuries but are not considered serious. He resides in Ridgeville.

New Swind on Northern Ohio Farmers Exposed
A fraudulent lighting scheme targets farmers in Northern Ohio. A man posing as a New York lighting company offers a compact “patent plant” for two dollars per light, signs a contract, then demands four dollars per light after a later visit. Farmers often sign and pay two hundred dollars to avoid trouble as the deception uses substituted contracts and an acetylene lamp.
