Mrs Park wife of township clerk Wo HE Park of 225 Second Street neighbors report she rose from bed and fell injuring her ribs and spine. She has been bedridden about three months with lung trouble worsened by the fall. Doctors say her condition is serious though not immediately mortal and she remains under medical care.
A local library charity event held Monday night raised more money than before, increasing the total to eight tenthy. Funds are intended to cover new books and library needs as previously fixed amounts were lowered.
County commissioners appoint Oberlin resident O F Carter as trustee of the Oberlin Children's Home to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Judge Steals. Also ad copy for men’s shirts and a local business listing appears in the obscured remainder.
A Lake Shore freight engineer from Cleveland was found in Elyria in a intoxicated condition after a wild ride from Cleveland. He was taken to hospital and gave the name Robert P. Justin of Rochester. He later escaped from the hospital and his current whereabouts are unknown.
The trial of Orson J. Humphrey against his wife and her family was postponed Monday afternoon as Humphrey suffered a heart attack amid persistent nervous strain. He recovered later that afternoon and the trial resumed on Tuesday.
The May meeting considered whether Perry S. Williams may not be required to provide a second official bond. Williams, the school treasurer, had a 20 000 bond referred to the board clerk after questions arose if the 50 000 bond posted by William A. an city treasurer covers both offices. If a second bond is not exacted Williams would be bonded for 100 000.
Elyria Eagles are scheduled to play Cleveland Waterworks at League Park but the drenched mud covered grounds render fast play unfit. If skies clear, the game will proceed up to noon Tuesday despite the wet conditions.
County commissioners held a strenuous session Saturday with forty property owners along the Fyana ditch in Avon as they adjusted assessments for the ditch improvement. The seven mile ditch project was finally approved and slated for construction.
Banns for the marriage of James Joseph McGuire of Lorain and Anna Dachtler of Elyria were read at St Marys Church in Lorain. The couple plan a Wednesday ceremony at St Marys Elyria with four priests and a wedding breakfast at the bride’s home before a wedding tour to major eastern cities.
Edwall Belatic of Ogvaland collapsed from heart failure at Beach Park Pavilion near ten oclock Monday night. The 66 year old French chef had gone to Beach Park seeking a position and died without family. Ruth Nederer of Cleveland Street celebrated a birthday on Friday June 2 with nineteen friends including Letitia Jones Mary Dibbie Ruth Cook Helen Dubrey Dorie Goodspeed Rosamond Bertrand Gladys Goodspeed Hazel Fairman Nettie Carpenter Viola Fairman Lyle Andress Homer Chappel Archie Taylor John Smith Willie Hendricks Ralph Stadden LeGrand Wooderer and Edward Smith.
The school board Tuesday night discussed buying land from Mrs. Bartholomew Boylaw adjoining the school side building to square the lot. The L shaped boundary on the south requires 46 by 56 feet, and the matter was referred to the building committee and the director.

County Auditor Lewis reports for May 1905 balances of 80,688.25 with overdrafts 2,208.081. May receipts amount to 7,387.56, expenditures 11,173.06, leaving a May 31 balance of 78,637.37 and overdrafts of 3,43,56.
Lorain Ohio June 6. Frank Waite of Pitts asks probate court to restore his three children or place them with Humane Society to force proper care. A prior death, and neglect, left a child dead from disease. Waite's first wife is insane. many witnesses testify he failed to provide a fit home. Concurrently Lorain High School graduation set for Verbeck theater with Dr Minnich of Ohio Normal University delivering address to a 34 member class.
Numerous depredations and malicious destruction of property at the park are reported to police. They will arrest if necessary. The company allows youths to play on the field when not in use and to attend league games for free.
Earnest Hosking, 26, married, of Gawn Avenue Lorain, was killed while working on a steel girder when a traveling crane crushed his head and chest. The incident was reported to the coroner to determine crane operator fault.
