Crushed By Limited Train Near West Bridge Street
A man about forty was struck and killed by a West Bridge Street bound limited train while walking near the tracks. A diner basket and personal items were found, including a tobacco pouch bearing a Cleveland tobacconist, a suit and Cleveland papers. Investigators think he misjudged the train's speed after glancing back, failing to realize he was in the path of the engine. The body was found east of the crossing, a short distance from the scene.
