Cleveland visitors tour North Amherst quarries
About three hundred Cleveland citizens including Chamber of Commerce members visited the Cleveland Stone company quarries in North Amherst. They left Cleveland at 9 30 and arrived an hour later, viewing 20 ton blocks as the quarry reaches 160 feet depth with capacity for 200 cars daily. A luncheon followed and Cleveland members voted thanks with cheers for the stone company.
