The Fox Furnace Company of Cleveland will move its hot air heater works to Elyria, signing contracts Wednesday night. The Ely Realty Co deeds 10 acres west of the C L W railway for the plant, with conditions to employ 100 men for six months and a $10,000 bonus from local landowners. The plant will be a 835 by 70 foot factory sheeted with streets and utilities, employing 300 to start by mid summer and expanding as options on nearby land are explored.

Car robbers pursued after freight car theft at Elyria
A bound freight train through Elyria at 12 40 am left a car with two bags of dress goods and plunder. Three men Frank Johnson John Gill and Peter Fayhay were arrested on suspicion after cigars and a 44 caliber revolver were found. Detective Bradstone identified them as ex offenders. They pleaded not guilty and were bound over to the grand jury in $500 bonds.
