Promoters of New Line Not Worried in Oberlin
Officials in Oberlin Lorain Co respond to a city council repeal of a railway franchise saying the grant was faulty under new code requiring route design and bids. Secretary Summers states they will proceed with plans to build from South Amherst to Lorain and expect a new franchise once funds are shown. Councilman Squire insists the city would grant a future franchise to a capable bidder, denying ties to Cleveland or Lake Shore Electric.
