Frank R. Showalter of Chippewa Wayne County Ohio was born Sept 28 1849 died Jan 1 16 at Grafton Ohio. He married Hattie J. Vaughn March 19 1885 and had three children Frank E Floyd A Ren E. He enlisted April 12 1864 in the 4th Pa Cavalry serving three years with a brief illness in hospital. He was discharged July 16 1945. He was postmaster at Grafton for years and a member of Hastings Post G AR and Grafton Tent No MK OK T M. Funeral services were held at his home conducted by Rev Bryington and the KOTM with burial in Ridge Cemetery.
