$90,000 Real Estate Deal Is Consummated

A landmark land sale closes as J G Crisp and Company broker the largest deal yet for Win A Ely and Arthur D Pettibone of Cleveland. The 300 plus acre tract south of the east branch of Bisok River near Elyria joins Eastern Heights Land Company, newly incorporated in Cleveland and Elyria, with Cann Braman Dr Chas Cushing and others involved. The land, once owned by the Ely family for ninety seven years, sits near schools and churches, free of smoke and dirt, and will be parceled for market.

Mayor to Have Whisky Analyzed for Poison

Mayor Folger announced plans to gather whisky samples in the city and submit them to expert analytical tests amid reports of adulterated liquor called tamalefoot or tanglefoot.
