Brockman Dies After Self-Inflicted Wound at 76
Henry Brockman of Laporte died Thursday morning from injuries after a self inflicted pistol shot ten weeks earlier. He refused nourishment for a week, sought death, and survived by two sons and a daughter. Funeral is Saturday at two from his home, burial at La Porte cemetery.

John Sullivan Dies After Long City Service
John Sullivan aged 75, longtime city street cleaning worker, died at his Elm Street home Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. He is survived by his wife and four children. Funeral set for eight o'clock Saturday from St. Marys church. Sullivan was widely known and respected in the city after years of faithful service.

Pair jailed then spared as they promise to leave town
William Sleath and his wife were arrested in North Antherst after spending the night in a timber shed owned by Charles Crehore without consent. They pled guilty, fined 25 dollars plus costs, and were sentenced to 30 days in the workhouse, but the sentence was suspended on their promise to depart immediately. The couple, reportedly recently married and habitually homeless, were found intoxicated Thursday night with whiskey nearby. The Elyria Camp Modern Woodmen of America will initiate a new class on Friday December 22 1905 with refreshments served. Kennedy's Laxative Honey and Tar promoted as a remedy for coughs colds and related illnesses.
