The Lake Shore Electric line between Lorain and Cleveland began hourly service from 5:45 to 10:45 with a theatre limited last car at 1:46. The Avon Beach Southern branch, cost 125000, links South Lorain with Beach Park and opened to spur growth, while Black River bridge stands at fifty feet. cars are modern and fast with speak tubes for conductor-motorman communication.

City council passes salary reform for fire department

The ordinance restructures the fire service on a merit basis. Chief earns 480 dollars yearly, bond 1000, with other posts adjusted: assistant chief 40, driver 780, assistant driver 360, engineer 80 plus two per fire, assistant engineer two per fire, volunteers one per fire and 60 cents per hour.
