Man Falls 140 Feet in Quarry and Dies
Joseph Kioske fell about 140 feet at Massey quarries and died at Elyria Hospital after a head trauma and multiple injuries. He worked guiding a derrick boom and was pulling a rope when the boom failed, sending him into the quarry. He survived briefly after rescue but succumbed to injuries. His brothers and mother were in the U.S. during the event. Funeral arrangements followed.

The Standard Oil Co has bought five acres near Wakeman to build new oil tanks. It already operates a pumping plant north of Wakeman. A new pipeline laid through the state linking western fields to the east prompted increased capacity at the Wakeman pumping station. Construction of the tanks has begun.

Lorain December 7 A mother reports Marvel Griffin of Woodland avenue and Bertha Smith of Elyria have been found in Cleveland by Mrs Donahue, formerly of Lorain, where the Griffin family resides. The two girls received clothing and money but have not yet returned home.

MacBride Faces Burglary Charge In Court Action
Mayor Folger bound Walter MacBride over to the grand jury on a burglary charge after a jail appearance. Bond set at 1900 dollars but not posted as the case moves through preliminary action. Authorities indicated MacBride appeared intoxicated and may be released if information is filed in probate court.

New Cleveland and Oberlin Limited Electric Service
December 10 marks the launch of limited electric service between Oberlin and Cleveland. Cars run Oberlin to Public Square in about 30 minutes, leaving Oberlin at 4 p.m. Five of the new cars are on tracks, with six more soon. A Cleveland Orchestra special will transport players from Oberlin on Thursday. The cars introduce a three compartment design for passenger, smoking, and baggage.
