Mormon converts pushed by immigration law violations
Fort Worth Texas August 10 evidence shows a scheme by the Mormon Church to build their faith by bringing women and a child to the United States under promises of wealth and good homes. Susan Henry ages 11 was brought from Edinburgh via Beaton by Elder Amian Bachman who planned to adopt her and raise her in the LDS creed. She was detained and questioned as officials learned Bachman’s papers were not regular and would not be legal in the United States. The child was ordered deported after authorities uncovered the arrangement and mistreatment during the voyage.

Weight loss at Marlenbad proves costly and futile
Drahop McVickar of Providence recalls a friend who visited Marlenbad to shed about fifty pounds. He found the rates and treatment expensive and intrusive. After a chat with the hotel doctor, he remarked that spare dieting at home would have sufficed, as high prices distracted from any real weight loss. The physician quipped that the expense alone wouldn’t bring a substantial benefit.
