Ohio General Assembly ends tumultuous session amid disorder
Columbus April reports the Ohio General Assembly closed in a scene of confusion and decorum failures. Lawmakers praised staff and officers, with tokens of gratitude and a final verse of praise. Several measures stalled or lost, lobbyist-driven local bills crowded the calendar, and budget fights over Cleveland and Cincinnati dominated the closing hours. Governance issues included delays, vetoes, and pending Supreme Court decisions on the Toledo exposition funding and county fee reforms. A. G. Comings.
