In Mapraox Wisconsin on February 5 Fred Somers and Hager, two Chicago pugilists, fought eleven rounds at Wannakes ten miles from the city. Somers broke his left wrist in the eleventh round by hitting Hager on the head and the match was ruled a draw with each fighter receiving half the gate. Hager was knocked down once.
