Hysterical Domestic Comedy and Courtship Scenes

A rambling 19th century vignette portrays Sam Smith homebound during a festive day as Miss Jones asserts women’s rights and confronts social norms. The scene weaves flirtation, romantic longing, and comic misunderstandings with a vivid cast including Miss Jones, Mrs Jones, and other neighbors in a brisk moral tableau.
