Largest Fivemen Tournament Held in Elyria City
A grand Fivemen tournament occurred Thursday in Elyria with crowds arriving from surrounding towns. The day featured a parade led by civic and fire department contingents, numerous firefighting relay events, juveniles, hose and engine contests, a foot race, pigeon shooting, and a baseball game. Norwalk won the main prize, Bellevue took second, and several local clubs, Colts and volunteers, were praised for orderly conduct and spirited competition.
