Germans Sink Three Vessels In War News

Washington reports the American sailing vessel Margaret destroyed off the Irish coast on April 27 after being stopped and set afire by a German submarine. Philadelphia notes the British Tanker British Sun sunk by a submarine, possibly in the Mediterranean, valued at $2,500,000. London confirms the Arcadian, a Royal Mail liner, sunk April 15 with 279 believed drowned. Arcadian was 8,300 tons and owned by Royal Mail Steam Packet.
