Charles Madison is dead and C H Bert McIntosh injured after a high speed crash on the Red Rock road. Their car, traveling to Susanville, skidded on sand while passing D B Robinett and tumbled 200 feet down a hillside, Madison dying at once and McIntosh escaping serious harm. Madison, a well known contractor, had spent fifteen years in Nevada and built mills in Tonopah and Rochester. Both men lost money in the crash with Madison carrying 127 in gold and McIntosh 40, most recovered from the sand later.
