Wet and Dry Compromise On Prohibition Abandoned

Open Emergency Homes For Wives Of Soldiers

Des Moines Iowa June 14 Two emergency homes to care for wives of soldiers after leaving a maternity hospital have been established by the Red Cross civilian relief department. Mothers will be kept until strength returns and taught to care for themselves and their babies. The plan includes locating them in homes and arranging follow up support.
