A mild smallpox outbreak in Ely leads the county board of health to close all picture houses and ban all public gatherings as a precaution. Ely remains not under quarantine and residents may still come and go.
Nevada land office notices dated May 1915 list filings by John Seval and George Hunter for land entries in Elko County with affidavits due dates in 1915 1916, plus warnings for protest and patent processes. Also notes 1914 labor on the Flpper lode claim in Jarbidge District and a guardian notices for Thomas Patrick Driscoll.
The notice details land parcels in Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, including SE quarter of NW and NW quarter of SE in Section 5, Township 39 North Range 54 East. It states disposal to the applicant, with filings dated May 3 1915 and last publication June 4 1916, signed by John B H Robbins.
