Two American Seamen Lost From Transport

Hide of two-year-old heifer found in trash north of town

A four piece cow hide wrapped in a bag was found in a trash pile north of town last Saturday. It shows the animal had been quar tered before skinning and bears the dim Henderson and Griswold brand. The hides signs indicate the car and neck wattle missing, suggesting recent butchering. Investigation is underway.

N H Chapin arrived from Ely yesterday and will spend Christmas here with Mrs Chapin who has been visiting for a couple of weeks. They plan to return to their home Thursday.
