A westbound passenger train struck a delivery auto at the 3 P crossing on Seventh Street. Richard C. McDonald of Woodland California died from base skull fracture. Miss Anna Philippini of Elko sustained a fractured hip severe abdominal injury and a badly lacerated hand. Harold Abel of Elko endured two broken ribs severe scalp lacerations and multiple bruises. The appliance car was halted against a lumber car. Abel and Philippini were hospitalized. McDonald died at eight this morning.
