Need of Elko Indians Prompts Public Meeting

A church meeting in Elko discussed Indian needs with Mr. Hall presenting a lecture and photographs. A committee including J. A. McBride and Rev. Ernest Price was formed to push for Indian school advantages. A follow up meeting may be held to seek federal school facilities for local Indian children.

Child Struck by Automobile Near Public School

Six year old Tom Jones son of Mrs Katie Jones was run over by a car driven by Charles Reinken on Missouri flat yesterday afternoon. He suffered bruises with no bones broken as he attempted to cross the street. The driver did all possible to avoid the collision and no blame rests on him. The incident is urged as a warning to children to avoid running across streets near schools and to drivers to exercise extreme caution.
