Senator Key Pittman urges Philadelphia to ship the Liberty Bell via the Southern Pacific to Nevada with stops in Reno and Ogden for a state wide patriotic display. Gov. Boyle and Reno schoolchildren back the plan as B D Billinghurst to send 1800 petitions to Mayor Blankenburg.
The Nevada Short Line railway between Nenzel on the Southern Pacific and the Rochester Mines mill at Lower Rochester will be completed quickly to the upper town and tramway foot. A contract signed in Onaki commits builders to finish and operate in sixty days under A A Codd who leads the line and leases on Rochester property. An equipment carload has reportedly shipped to Orena to begin construction.
