Theft at Dunlaps Farm Stolen Purse From Upstairs Room
A sneak thief entered the home of Mr. Kindig on the Honeyacre farm near Dunlaps Friday evening and stole a purse from an upstairs room containing $5.85. Kindig suspects he may identify the thief. John J. Yoder, 54, died Friday at 5 pm at his home one mile south of South West after three weeks with typhoid fever. He leaves a son and two daughters. His first wife died six years ago and his second about a year ago. He was the first of a large family to die, leaving seven brothers and five sisters. Brothers C C M J and D J Yoder of Goshen are siblings. Funeral at Yellow Creek Mennonite church Sunday at 11 am.

Death of Magdalena Hibschman in Harrison Township
Magdalena Hibschman aged 80 died at 3 o clock Saturday morning at her home eight miles west of Goshen. She is survived by three children Henry Hibschman of the homestead Mrs Joseph Grabrich of Elkhart and Mrs Milton Mishler of Goshen. Services were held at 11 a m at the Elkhart Mennonite church with burial in Grace Lawn.

Three boys aged sixteen seventeen and nineteen told of a near murder by a man posing as a farmer near Lake Shore yards. They were hungry and led to a patch where a younger boy was seized by the throat and nearly choked. The man escaped into a corn field as the older youths intervened. Miss Grace Case aged 20 died at Englewood Avenue Chicago. Her funeral will be held at Trinity M E Church with Rev Simpson. The Case family formerly lived in Elkhart.
