The ceremony at the Rost residence on Rhode Island Avenue drew President Roosevelt cabinet members supreme court justices senators and diplomats. The bride wore cream satin with lace and carried valley iris and orchid bouquet. The Rev. Herbert Shipman officiated.

Weston Walks 1230 Miles to Chicago in 24 Days

Portland veteran Weston completes a 1230 mile trek to Chicago arriving at the post office at noon after 24 days 19 hours on the road. He left Portland October 29 at 5 PM and did not walk on Sundays.
