Horse Lost After Colic Near Christians Lake
Enos Myers, a Second Street liveryman in Bost, reported his valuable horse missing after a drive to Christians Lake. The horse developed spasmodic colic and despite a veterinary surgeon from Adamsville, died before relief could be given. The animal was formerly owned on Yarreo Hill.

Mrs Foreman relict of Jeremiah Foreman died Sunday night at 8 at her Goshen home after two years of illness from heart trouble and other ailments. Born 1834 in Densburg Ohio she moved to Elkhart county in 1866 then Goshen. She was a longtime English Lutheran member. Survived by four children Mesdames Culp Elliott Elizabeth Foreman and Mrs Filmer Yaste and three brothers Daniel F W Minnich Goshen and J M Minnich Elkhart.

It is built from timbers and material salvaged from a river steamboat that sank near the Rookstroh slaughter house at the Three I bridge and later carted away piece by piece. Inquest Declares Harley Forrey Insane at Home
Drs Fleming Bower and Justices Sanders Brumbaugh held an inquest at Harley Forrey's home three miles north of the city and found him insane. An application will seek admission to Longcliff asylum. Forrey, once a telegraph lineman, suffered sunstroke and a later relapse left him unbalanced. He was violent last night and will stay in the city jail until sheriff custody. He previously disappeared from La Fayette, raising early foul play fears.

Filipino ambush wounds Baine and McMillen in Philippines
Horace G Baine a well known local figure was wounded in an ambush by American troops in the Philippines. Victor McMillen of Mendon Michigan also wounded. The attack occurred along San Thomas road as the thirtieth infantry saw heavy combat.
