Frank Myers an employee of National Manufacturing had his left hand badly crushed yesterday when it was caught between two cog wheels on a planer. The outer side was ground to a pulp. he avoided total crippling by removing a piece of iron from the cogs. Release of the man proved difficult. Dr Short treated the wounds. bones were badly crushed but loss of fingers seems unlikely. Myers lives on Gordon Street and will be laid up for several weeks.
