A five year old girl, daughter of Thomas Foster of the James R. Devor farm south of Allendale, was injured when ties slipped from a load beside an interurban line. A tie struck her hip and thigh, fracturing the thigh bone near the joint. Doctors treated the fracture and reported her condition improving and not life threatening.
