Two Local Women Fined After Lincoln Avenue Drunken Lark
Police found Della Bloom and Anna Bowen intoxicated on Lincoln avenue around 11 pm. They spent Sunday in jail and appeared before Judge Young, who fined them $10.50 total each with a dollar fine, one has stayed, the other chose jail. The women blamed two Elkhart men named Howard and James Baker who gave them whisky. Marshal Rigney urged chasing the men.

A Johnstown special reports two unknown assailants broke into the Berkey home near Rummel ten miles from Johnstown. John Gardner an employee of Lipshitz and Winer was arrested this morning for violating the city ordinance. He was charged with driving a load of manure through Main street allowing it to scatter on the pavement. Gardner was taken before Judge Arnold, found guilty and fined plus costs totaling seven dollars, which was stayed.
