Jail Time Looms for Two Hoboes in Harrison Street Robberies
Thomas Rogers of Fort Wayne and John Dailey of Buffalo were jailed after a daytime spree that included threatening shopkeepers on Harrison street. Clothes Afire: Girl Narrowly Escapes Burn Injury
Thirteen year old Etta Bowers, daughter of Mrs. Jennie Bowers of 112 Corunna Street, lighted a gasoline stove and clothing caught fire. Neighbors including Mrs. George Smitley quickly wrapped her in a damp carpet and subdued the flames. The burns to her limbs and hands were not deep and her face was spared. The girl’s condition improved after treatment by a physician.
