In Hopkinsville Kentucky a group of night riders fired Bruce Gregorys residence and burned his barn. His wife and baby escaped by crawling under beds as shots rang out. Mrs Gregory phoned for help while militiamen, led by Major Albrecht, pursued the attackers after the blaze.
The Elkhart superior court, barely four years old, opened its longest case yet the Miller suit involving six people in Clinton township and about seven thousand dollars. Miss Ellen Miller seeks thirty five thousand seven hundred for her services to her mother, with many witnesses and a crowded scene on Main street. Trial duration could run two to three days, saving county cost versus transferring to LaGrange or Warsaw.
