Farmers Institute Set for January Meeting at Goshen
The annual meeting of the Farmers Institute will be held in Goshen on January 8 and 9 under Elkhart County Farmers Union auspices. An ambitious program features talks by county and state agricultural educators, discussions on farming, dairy, stock raising, and music. The event aims to attract farmers, gardeners, dairymen, and stock growers from the county and will run from 10 o'clock Friday morning to noon Saturday at Sheridan Hall.

Death of Mr James Funk Claimed After Illness
The death of Mr James Funk occurred this morning after a period of illness drifted from a severe cold contracted two weeks ago during his sister’s funeral in Warsaw. At 71 he was a long time resident known across the county and leaves a wife four grown children William Frank Edward and daughter Mrs William Atkinson of Sycamore street.
