Woman Injured By Rampaging Cow Near City
Mrs. Joseph Delancey was attacked by a cow with a calf at her rural home four and a half miles south of the city. She suffered a deep abdominal wound, intestines exposed, and eleven stitches were required. Her husband risked his life to rescue her before a surgeon could arrive. Mrs. Delancey, about 35, remained in serious condition but showed signs of recovery potential if infection is avoided. Separately, Mrs. Mary H. Kessler died at home after returning from Chicago. she was 34 years and eight months old, survived by husband Albert Kessler, a daughter, and four sisters. Funeral will be held Wednesday at the Lutheran church with interment at Waterford.

Earl Chase Scharrer, 19, son of Mr and Mrs David Scharrer, died at 5 o clock yesterday from a kick received from a sick horse at the Abergast farm while assisting in doctoring it. He lived five miles north of the city on Kehres farm. Survived by parents, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral Thursday at home with burial in Grace Lawz cemetery. Rev Cleaver to officiate.
