George McMasters longtime Goshen resident may die from a gunshot wound after Cephas H. Messick fired at a field target near the hydraulic canal south of Goshen. McMasters was shot in the right lung and in great pain, taken home for care as his condition remained serious.
Mishawaka correspondent reports Hon. G. Conn of Elkhart ordered a 20 foot tender from Western Gas Engine Co to be shipped to New York for his yacht Sultana. The launch will be among the finest, finished in bronze and mahogany for Atlantic service.
Judge Wilson ordered the Goshen grand jury recalled to meet Wednesday at 9 am to probe several recent law violations. The Gos Hines-Adams grabbing affray and related matters will be examined, with the full truth pursued. Several other issues will also be fully investigated.

Justice Young, after a Goshen inquiry, jailed Thomas Lawrence eleven days, acceding to Detective Lawrence who charged him as a repeat offender for a Lake Shore derailment. Lawrence proved the accusation false, revealing he was ill and not a tramp.
