Local notes from Elgin summarize visits and travel
Molehr Yenney and son Elmer visited Cedar Rapids Friday while Earl Bennet prepares for appendicitis surgery at Postville Hospital. Miss Otley becomes assistant principal in our public school as Miss Bima Rothlisberger returns to teaching. Several residents travel to Fayette Champaign and Chicago for studies and visiting kin, while town businesses discuss repairs and new housing efforts as factories operate and pause.
