Resolutions of Respect and obituaries with admission charges follow regular advertising rates.
Mrs Thomas Pollock hosted a Saturday afternoon coffee for Mrs Inez Brackin who leaves Monday for Sarasota Florida to spend the winter. Guests included Keith Kohler Louis Dennler Gene Schort J N Hogan Regina Hutchinson Anna Schupbach Donald Guilton Vince Bartunek Charles Wenger Melbert Baechler Belva Snyder Edith Dean Donald Gardner and Miss Georgie Schori. A going away gift was presented to Mrs Brackin by the group.

Valley Jr. High's Valley Cubs shut down Waukon 40-6 on Oct 22 in Waukon, capping a second straight undefeated season. Duane Reeder scored on a 45 yard run, Leon Roberts added a 20 yard TD, with Reeder and Roberts each kicking extra points.

Lena Baumgartner hosted a family picnic supper last Wednesday at her home for Wendell Baechler who left Monday for Dallas. Guests included Fred Baechler Clermont Alfred Baechler, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Muehlthaler and Joan, Melbert Baechler Ramona Benson, Mrs. Clara Baumgartner, Mrs. Celia Kohls, Mrs. Rose Baechler and Mrs. Selma Kohls. Mrs Lulu Schmid was also listed.

A new trophy case was built at Valley High School to house the 1081 aap me Bisbsball Cha phy and the Girls state Basketball Consolation winner trophy. Neighbors clubs provided funds including 60 from Federated Clube of Clermont Wadena and Elgin 8 from Good Neighbors Club of Elgin and 3 from Riverside Club Clermont.
