Death of Mrs Devers of Clermont Iowa in 1890
Mrs Elizabeth Devers born in County Kerry Ireland in 1842 died at home in Clermont Iowa on October 47 1890 aged 54. She came to Postville as a girl, lived with Geo Henderson, married John Devery of Clermont, eight children born. A devout Catholic member, she suffered illness quietly, lifting her hand in triumph at last. Funeral by Rev McCabe at Clermont on the 10th, buried Catholic cemetery, thanks offered to neighbors and friends.
