Elgin News and Notes highlights local commerce
Elgin observes a busy week with Capper & Shaffer selling dry goods and carpets, Finke Drug Store promoting kerosene and perfumes, and Stovick family moving to Elkader. Local dances, harvest program at German Baptist church, and a Gipsy fortune teller draw crowds while Frank Stovick relocates and Bruce Clements wins a parade crown.
