Christmas Seal Sale Planned For Fayette County
Mrs R V Brandt attended the Fayette county Christmas seal meeting at the State Bank where plans for the Dec 1 to Dec 24 sale were finalized. Funds from seals support dental inspection school nursing tuberculosis and heart clinics immunizations and a medical aid fund, with a goal to aid families unable to pay for care. Last year the sale raised 66.87, with 22.72 kept for local schools, and this year envelopes and a ballot box will be used to collect donations in Lubke's store and local homes.

American Legion Card Party Benefits Post 875
Bridge and Five Hundred were played at a benefit card party by Sheehan Post No. 875 Monday evening. Mrs. Louie Olson had the highest bridge score and Andine Vasby the low score, with prizes awarded. Reuben Gruver won first in five hundred, while Mrs. Marvin Johnson had the low score. Refreshments were served and the treasury reportedly increased by about ten dollars due to the event.

Death of Mrs Knudsvig at Stone Church near Ossian
Mrs. Knudsvig died in Iowa City hospital on Sunday Nov 19 after illness.
