Hold Council Fire Friday At Odako Camp Fire Girls
Junior and senior Camp Fire girls from Odako held their fall council fire at the Legion hall on Friday afternoon November 23. Twenty two girls and leaders Mrs M C Larson and Lorain Kittelson participated. The eight woodgatherers led the program and prepared a lunch as mothers and friends watched. Thanksgiving was the theme with gifts of food placed on green bows around a candle stand. A pledge and roll call preceded a short program featuring readings and prayers. Candles symbolized unselfishness work conservation friendship and faith. Trailseekers and Woodgatherers awards were presented to several girls, and the group served hot chocolate coffee and cake. Food gifts were later donated to elderly ladies living alone. Mrs Lloyd Meier attended a friend’s wedding at Independence on Wednesday.
