A three man crew armored vehicle, called New War Machine 18, charges over sand and plowed fields at 40 miles per hour and reaches a mile a minute on highways. Designed by J Walter Christie, the craft is about two thirds the size of a standard army tank and aims at quick surprise attacks rather than heavy combat.
