Utah Railway Plan to Link Ogden and Provo with Electric Line

The Utah American and Foreign Development Company of London plans an 82 mile electric railway from Ogden through Salt Lake City to Provo Utah. The line would serve a rich agricultural and mineral district and connect to steam routes via electric traction. A power house between Salt Lake City and Provo would supply 20 000 horsepower with a 42 mile maximum plant end distance. Rich iron and coal deposits along the route could be developed by electric power from trolley feeders.
