Obituary for Thomas Lien Died November 10 1961
Thomas Lien born June 6 1877 in Clayton County Iowa died November 10 1961 after a lingering illness. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. He farmed in Iowa and the Leroy area and married Josephine Ostlie on October 28 1899 in Clermont Lutheran Church. They had five children Lillian Bernard Edna Clifford who died at seven and an infant son. He is survived by sister Mrs Laura Olson of Decorah six grandchildren and many relatives. Funeral services were held November 13 at 2 p.m. at the Leroy Lutheran Church with Rev Hanson officiating. Interment followed at Leroy Lutheran Cemetery. Martz Funeral Home of LeRoy handled arrangements. Casket bearers were Francis Peterson Alfred Knudson Lavern Aaker Donald Hatlestad Ronald Lien Orlando Kitileson.
